Classes will incorporate floor work, standing, and balance postures with vinyasa movements and transitions. While some aspects of the class may be more challenging and create heat in the body, the goal of this class is accessibility.

We are invited to the mat to explore all aspects of your yoga experience with a loving and open mind. Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or stepping into the studio for the first time, there will be a satisfying and appropriate path for you in this class.

Hatha

Hatha is a slow and powerful practice to connect to your breath and deeply feel into each yoga pose. Hatha is the oldest form of yoga and is distinct from other modalities for longer holds and slow, strong movements. Isometric holds help to build muscle, feel your body supporting you, experience and recognize patterns of thinking, and ground the nervous system.

Warm Vinyasa

Vinyasa Flow is a powerful, energetic form of yoga where students move fluidly from one pose to the next while connecting breath to movement. Expect a vigorous and revitalizing form of physical fitness. 70-80°

Heated Power

HOT - Intermediate Level Vinyasa Flow is a fluid yoga practice where the body flows in sync with the breath. Moving in alignment with the inhales and exhales, the focus is on creating fluid and smooth movements through each asana (yoga pose). 90°

Power Basics

All Levels Vinyasa Flow is a fluid yoga practice where the body flows in sync with the breath. Moving in alignment with the inhales and exhales, the focus is on creating fluid and smooth movements through each asana (yoga pose). This flow is suitable for practitioners of all levels. Yin

Yin yoga works deeply into our body with passive, longer-held poses.

It targets the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues – ligaments, joints, bones, the deep fascia networks of the body and the meridians. This is contrast to a Yang yoga practice such as Vinyasa yoga which targets the muscles.

Energetically, Yin yoga improves the energy flow, enhancing the flow of chi in the organs. To be healthy, we need healthy organs as well as healthy muscles. Yin yoga also offers wonderful emotional and mental health benefits.

What to expect in a typical Yin yoga class

A Yin yoga class usually consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses that mainly work the lower part of the body – the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine. These areas are especially rich in connective tissues. The poses are held for up to five minutes, sometimes longer. Yin is almost entirely passive, although some Yin asanas contain Yang elements. During the asanas, muscles are relaxed to avoid muscle spasm, which could result from engaging muscles for long periods.

Vin to Yin

Vin to Yin  blends two styles of yoga into one practice – bringing together the benefits of passively holding yoga poses with more dynamic sequences and standing postures. Yin Yoga is a slower practice where poses are passively held for longer. It works on the deep connective tissues and joints in the body. Vinyasa, in contrast, refers to a more active practice, building strength, stamina and flexibility. Expect a balanced, revitalizing, and rejuvenating flow. This practice is suitable for practitioners of all levels.

Restorative

Our Restorative practice focuses on passive postures to get deep into your body and mind to find ease and openness. This class uses a lot of props to support your body while gently holding and moving through a slow, gentle sequence of basic floor yoga postures. Postures will be on your back, seated, hands and knees, or on your belly. Modifications are offered throughout the practice.

Whether winding down from your busy day, recovering from an injury, or needing to find self reflection. This class is restful, opening and rejuvenating.

Gentle Restorative is accessible to all levels of Yogis looking to relax.
